Justice is served
Posted in Uncategorized on June 9th, 2007This is the way is should be. It doesn’t matter how rich your are or that you made an amateur porn, if you do a DWI you pay the price. I was wondering what it wold take before someone pulled their head out their ass and did the right thing. I’m glad that the judge in this case is considering holding the sheriff who let Paris out in contempt. That guy just gave a lot of cops a bad name. Lock Paris up, then give her lots of community service!
John Rambo Is Coming For You!
Posted in Uncategorized on May 16th, 2007Okay…so, I’m not sure how many of you saw Rock Balboa, but is actually a pretty good film. The tells the story of a guy fighting Father Time. In Rocky’s case, Father Time was a huge black guy, but whatever. The success of Rocky Balboa has sent Sky to re-visit the character of John Rambo. I’m unsure if this film will have the same success as Rocky Balboa did.
I mean, the first film was a nod to disrespected/forgotten veterans…the second dealt with POWs, and the third took us to Afghanistan. But, this one is about rescuing some kidnapped humanitarian aid workers. Even though they’re Christian (a general term as far has Hollywood is concerned), I’m thinking the undercurrent/immediacy/gravity won’t be the same.
New Terminator!
Posted in Movies, Uncategorized on May 10th, 2007AICN has an article posted that gives the skinny on a Termanitor reboot. Basically the rights nad been bought by a capule of dudes who want to bring the franchise into the future, by about 30 years
The first of the new films ( actaully the 4th Terminator film) would be set in the near future with a 30-something John Conner leading his rebel forces aginst the superior armies of the machines. They’re looking for a summer of 09 release with a script built around a screen play by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.
So, in theory, TERMINATOR 4 (with a “new cast and plotline”) could be deployed as an alternate TERMINATOR 1, because even though it takes place after the events of the existing trilogy, it actually sets the existing trilogy/overall mythos into motion…and could therefore be used as a different kind of launching pad/origin story (i.e. “future war” escapades lead to time travel into their past (our present) to undo the situation in the future, and so forth. Theoretically, of course…
Terminator fans should also be excited with the Fox/Warner TV the SARA CONNER CHRONICLES coming to air next season.
