It's Comic Convention season! On May 18-20, HeroesTV.com very own strongbad_wi and Jotham_Knight of the ModSquad will be covering the MotorCity Comic Con in Michigan! They'll be spreading the word about HeroesTV.com, and hopefully picking up some insider information on the show! Check out their blogs for event coverage!
August 28th has been officially announced by Universal as the release date for Heroes - Season 1 on DVD. The studio has also announced an HD-DVD version as well, although it will carry a higher cost.
Both releases will be a 7-disc set with 1.78:1 widescreen video, and English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio ("Dolby Digital Plus" on the hi-def release). Each one also offers an English and French subtitle track, but the DVD version's details additionally mention a Spanish subtitle track, while the HD-DVD's details leave that out. Cost for the standard DVD will be $59.98 SRP, while the HD-DVD set will go for $99.98 SRP.

The Peacock controlled Mondays for much of the season, but ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" has supplanted NBC's "Deal or No Deal" as the night's top reality show, while CBS' "CSI: Miami" -- for one week anyway -- overtook NBC's "Heroes" as the top drama among young adults.
...and then led the tough 9 o'clock hour in young adults with "Heroes" (5.0/12 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall), which was also below average.

Monday night yielded the results of a marketing experiment that's been brewing since last week. With the NBC's unveiling of a Spider-Man 3 trailer during an episode of Heroes, the network experienced its highest Monday-night ratings in several months. Deal or No Deal kicked off the 8 o'clock hour with its highest viewership since November (5.4 rating/14 share in adults 18-49, 18.3 million viewers overall), and Heroes experienced its best numbers since January (6.6/15 in 18-49, 14.9 million viewers overall).

NBC's powerful lineup of Deal Or No Deal and Heroes continued to dominate in the key 18 to 49-year-old demographic, but both shows were down 8 percent from last week. Heroes took a 6.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 13.6 million total viewers, according to Nielsen Research.
At 9 p.m., NBC scored a 6.1 for Heroes, with Fox at a 5.4 for 24 (15.3 million viewers overall). ABC took a 3.5 for Supernanny, and CBS earned a combined 3.2 for repeats of Two and a Half Men and The New Adventures of Old Christine. CW scored a combined 1.1 for Girlfriends and The Game.
The ratings dipped a little, and 24 won the timeslot this week. Hopefully Heroes will pick back up next week.

On Monday of the current week, the return of "Heroes" (6.6/15 in 18-49, 14.90 overall viewers) lifted NBC to victory among adults 18-49, while another returning show, Fox's "Prison Break," achieved season highs (4.2/10, 9.86m).
In the drama battle at 9, "Heroes," with its first original seg since Dec. 4, won out over Fox's "24" (5.4/12, 14.47m), which held tough and was down only a bit week to week. "Heroes," the season's No. 1 new show in various categories, led in every key demo except men 25-54...
It's great to see Heroes maintain its viewership even while directly contending with FOX's "24". By the looks of it, the ratings will continue to grow.

The final episode of the year for hot rookie "Heroes" combined with another dominant perf by gameshow "Deal or No Deal" to lead NBC to an easy primetime ratings victory on the first Monday in December. The Peacock led the broadcast nets among young adults on a Monday for the 10th time in 12 weeks this season.
That led into "Heroes" (6.5/15 in 18-49, 15.0 million viewers overall), as the season's No. 1 new program delivered winning scores with its fall finale.

NBC's "Heroes" delivered series-best ratings Monday night, dominating its broadcast competition in the night's middle hour and helping the Peacock finish neck and neck with CBS among adults 18-49...
According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, "Heroes" (6.2 rating/15 share in adults 18-49, 14.3 million viewers overall) was up nearly 10% week to week to log the highest regular-slot 18-49 score for a first-year drama in the past two seasons. It was up a big 55% over NBC's non-sports average in the timeslot last season.

According to affiliate-based preliminary nationals from Nielsen, "Deal or No Deal" (5.2 rating/14 share in adults 18-49, 17.3 million viewers overall) opened the night an easy winner, and the net remained on top in key demos at 9 with first-year drama hit "Heroes" (5.7/13 in 18-49, 13.1 million viewers overall). Momentum stalled there for the Peacock, though, as "Studio 60" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) declined about 15% week to week to finish third or fourth in its hour, depending on how nationals shake out.

The freshman show, about regular folks the world over who discover they have super powers, has seen its audience grow each of its three week. Last night's episode grew 7 percent from the previous week in adults 18-49.
The episode, which featured the introduction of effectively creepy arch-villain Sylar, scored a 5.9 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49, with 13.3 million viewers overall, making it the number one new show of the fall season...

NBC's new superhero drama Heroes has been given a full-season pickup from the network. In week one, Heroes won the time period in adults 18-49 and came in second in overall viewers. Week two saw ratings hold steady for the story of ordinary people who discover they possess superpowers.
"Heroes has delivered exceptional ratings since its premiere, and we're even more impressed with the quality of the upcoming episodes," said NBC TV president Kevin Reilly. "The best is yet to come over the course of a full season with this newest drama sensation."

Hey everyone I need your help! I'm getting swamped trying to keep up with the show and maintaining the website. I've been continuously working on the site since it launched and there's still so much to be done. I'm looking for a few writers/helpers to take on some of the workload such as writing detailed reviews, recaps, taking screencaps, and collecting information.

NBC's drama Heroes premiered last night, scoring NBC's highest series bow since Crossing Jordan in 2001. Heroes was watched by 14.29 million total viewers, winning its time slot.
Most importantly, Heroes grew by more than a million viewers over the course of its hour run. It also won its spot in the 18 to 49 demographic.
It's official, "Heroes" is a hit!
